Welcome to 1ofOne Creations

I started ceramic hand throwing in 2016. From primary through high school, I was a hand builder, so clay is not a foreign medium to me. But throwing, on my! It is definitely much harder than I ever imagined. But I felt an immediate zen, a calm focus that I can only compare to training in the Dojo. Being one with myself, one with earth, one breath at a time.

As I began to advance in my throwing, I found that I did not like using standard production glazes. They’re so ordinary in look and can be seen on pieces available in any Wal-mart or Target. 

Each piece I create is an experiment, which can sometimes take a few hours to finish. I love to play with colors and will try anything I can think of or ideas I find elsewhere. Airbrush, tin foil, Saran Wrap, Water Etching, stencils, blow spray, overlay, splatter, plop, drip, drop, get whimsical, get silly.....Creativity is infinite!!!!!!!

With my varying techniques, I found it impossible to replicate any of my art therefore creating only one of a kind pieces. Hence the name “1 of One Creations”. I started to show my family and friends, and to my surprise, I started selling pieces.

After much prodding from my teacher, family, friends and colleagues (Thank you, you know who you are), I am finally putting myself out there, selling my pottery.
